External Scholarships
The following is a comprehensive list of scholarships that are currently available to A.C. Jones students. Please be advised that the list is updated frequently. We recommend that you make an appointment to review your scholarship options with the JBSP team. Please stop by the office or contact Mrs. DeLaRosa at bdelarosa@beevilleisd.net.
American Chemical Society Scholars Program
Award Amount: $10,000
Eligibility:
Academic Status: Graduating high school seniors, undergraduates (freshman through senior) for the 2026-2027 School Year.
Citizenship/Residency: U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident.
Enrollment: High school seniors and undergraduate students (first through fourth year). Planning to enroll full-time for the 2026–2027 academic year at a U.S.-accredited college or university.
Field of Study: Must intend to major or already be majoring in one of the following fields:
Biochemistry
Chemical or Science Education
Chemical Engineering
Chemistry
Environmental Chemistry
Forensic Chemistry/Forensic Science
Materials Chemistry/Materials
Other chemistry-based sciences.*
Academic Achievement: Demonstrate high academic achievement in chemistry or science, with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher.
Demonstrate Financial Need: You will need to upload your Eligibility Overview from your FAFSA Submission Summary as a PDF document.
*Must plan to pursue a career in the chemical sciences. The scholarship is not intended for Pre-Med programs. Those pursuing degrees in Pharmacy or Nursing are also not eligible for this scholarship.

Alisha Yogi-Gomez Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,500
Eligibility:
Seeking a bachelor’s degree in Education
Attend college in the United States in the Fall of 2025
Be an A.C. Jones High School Senior
Deadline: April 1, 2025

Corporate Future of Chemistry Scholarship for Women
Award Amount: $10,000
Eligibility:
Self-identify as Female.
Be high school seniors or graduates, who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic year.
Be pursuing a STEM* (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), MIQA (Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance), Technical, or Operation Manufacturing Support degree.
*Medical-related degrees are not eligible.Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).
