The following is a comprehensive list of scholarships that are currently available to A.C. Jones students. Please be advised that the list is updated frequently. The Gates Scholarship
Award Amount: Cost of Attendance
Eligibility:
A high school senior
Pell Grant eligible
US Citizen, national, or permanent resident
Must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)

2027 Coca-Cola Scholars Program
Award Amount: $20,000
Eligibility:
Current high school senior attending school in the U.S.
Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited US post-secondary institution

The Home Depot Foundation Path to Pro Scholarship
Award Amount: Varies
Eligibility:
High school seniors
Plan to enroll, or be enrolled within 1 year, in an approved trade-related program at an accredited two-year school or institution (i.e. technical/vocational school, community college or training center) in the United States.
Focused on Carpentry, Construction Management, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing.

AES Engineering Scholarship
Award Amount: $500
Eligibility:
High School Seniors
You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.
Students must submit an essay between 500-1000 words in answer to the following question:
- When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful? What relationships or accomplishments will be important on this journey?
Be sure to include your full name as well as the name of the school you are attending this year and your plans for next year.

Voice of Democracy

Eligibility:
Open to students in grades 9-12
Record an original 3–5-minute (+ or – 5 second max.) audio in MP3 format (no videos) on a flash drive, or other electronic device.

2026-2027 Theme “What a Veteran Taught Me About America”

Patriot’s Pen Scholarship
Award Amount: up to $5,000
Eligibility:
Open to students in grades 6th, 7th, 8th
Submit a typed essay of 300-400 words and completed entry form to a VFW Post for judging.

TAMU S.E.A.L. Conference Scholarship
Award Amount: Covers mandatory program dues to attend SEAL Conference.
Eligibility:
Open to high school sophomores, juniors & seniors
Four Full Scholarships available
The application contains four essay questions. You must answer all the questions with a maximum word count of 500 words per question. If a question is left blank, your application will not be reviewed and therefore not eligible for a scholarship.

Minecraft Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,000
Eligibility:
Must be a United States citizen
Must currently be enrolled in college or high school
Must carry a 3.0 or higher GPA.
Requirements:
Write a short essay of no less than 500 words about your opinion on how Minecraft can be a positive influence on education and career development.

Gen and Kelly Tanabe Think about Your Future Scholarship
Award Amount: $1,000
Eligibility:
Open to 9th-12th grade high school students
Legal resident of the U.S.
Currently in school or planning to attend college or graduate school
In 250 words or less, please submit an essay on one of the following:
1. Why do you deserve to win this scholarship? -OR-
2. Describe your academic or career goals. -OR-
3. Any topic of your choice. Feel free to re-use an essay that you wrote in class, for college admission or another scholarship competition.
