Award Amount: $5,000

Eligibility:

  • Be a graduating high school senior

Hispanic Scholarship Fund

Hispanic Scholarship Fund

Award Amount: $500-$5,000

Eligibility:

  • US Citizen, Permanent Legal Resident, or DACA 

  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale

  • Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited, public or not-for-profit, four-year university, or graduate school in the US for the 2026-2027 academic year

  • Complete and submit the 2026-2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

  • The HSF Scholar Program is open to students of all races who identify as being of Hispanic heritage

  • You must be a young man who is a resident of the state of Texas.

  • Enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student

  • Attending a Texas college, university, or seminary with the intent to major in one of the following fields of study: education, science, religion, business, music, applied arts or sciences

  • Financial assistance need

  • Person of sound mental capacity, good moral character and ideals

  • Earned a minimum 3.2 GPA out of a 4.0 GPA scale

Award Amount: not to exceed $11,000 per academic year

Eligibility:

  • Citizen of the United States

  • Resident of Texas for 12 consecutive months prior to application submission

  • Person of good character

  • Per Mrs. Wischer’s instructions, preference given to applicants who are Christians and attend church regularly

  • Demonstration of academic potential and ability (not merely academic performance)

  • Financial assistance need

  • Planned enrollment as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at a not-for-profit college or university in the fall semester of 2026

  • Earned a minimum 3.2 GPA out of a 4.0 GPA scale

Horatio Alger Scholarship

Award Amount: $10,000-$25,000

Eligibility:

  • Be enrolled full time as a high school junior in the United States

  • Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution in the United States immediately after high school graduation (students may start their studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to a four-year institution)

  • Demonstrate financial need ($100,000 or lower adjusted gross family income is required)

  • Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities

  • Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity

  • Maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0

  • Be a United States citizen

San Patricio Electric Education Trust

Award Amount: Varies

Eligibility:

  • The applicant’s parent or legal guardian must be an active member of SPEC and receive electric service at the primary address of the student and parent/guardian.

  • Applicants must be high school seniors graduating from a high school or homeschool program located within one of the nine counties served by SPEC. (Aransas, Bee, Goliad, Jim Wells, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces, Refugio and San Patricio County)

  • Scholarships will be granted to support attendance at a recognized institution of higher education, which may be either a college/university or a vocational/technical institution.

Requirements:

  • Official transcript

  • 3 letters of recommendation from teachers, principles, counselors, etc. from the high school the applicant is currently attending

The GE Reagan Foundation Scholarship

Award Amount: $40,000 ($10,000 per year)

Eligibility: To be eligible for this award, applicants must:

  • Demonstrate the attributes of leadership, integrity, drive, and citizenship within their communities, schools, and workplaces

  • Demonstrate strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 grade point average/4.0 scale or equivalent).

  • Be citizens of the United States of America.

  • Be current high school seniors attending high school within the United States, (including any U.S. territories or commonwealths), and graduating in winter 2025 or spring 2026. Homeschooled applicants and applicants living on a U.S. Armed Forces base and attending high school outside the U.S. are eligible.

  • Plan to enroll in a full‑time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four‑year college or university in the United States for the entire 2026-2027 academic school year
