The following is a comprehensive list of scholarships that are currently available to A.C. Jones students. Please be advised that the list is updated frequently. Allen Carter & Russell Jones Endowment Scholarship
Award Amount: $500
Eligibility:
The student must submit a 3-page essay on any past or present segment of Bee County History.
Please type with double spacing.
Attach a 4th page listing your source or sources. An interview may be a reference.

Kenneth Chandler Memorial Scholarship

The Marion Eugene Williams Memorial Scholarship
Award Amount: $1,000
Eligibility:
High School Seniors
Must participate in at least one extra-curricular activity during the 2024-2025 school year.
Applicants should have completed volunteer hours that show a commitment to serving their community.
Applicants must submit a one-page essay describing their favorite book and explaining why it holds personal significance.

Coastal Bend Crime Stoppers

Must plan to pursue a degree in the field of law enforcement/criminal justice OR be the son/daughter/grandchild of an active/retired Texas Commissioned Peace Officer (going into any field of study)

Robert Meakins Scholarship
Award Amount: $1,000
Eligibility:
Must have a sponsor in law enforcement or a first responder.
Must be seeking a degree or certification in Criminal Justice, EMT Training, or Nursing.
Must be a graduating senior at a high school in Bee or Live Oak County.
Must include a recommendation letter from sponsor.
Scholarship is not need based and GPA is considered, but not a deciding factor. Volunteer time, sponsor recommendation, community involvement, leadership, good academic standing will all help us determine our selection.

San Patricio Electric Education Trust
Award Amount: Varies
Eligibility:
The applicant’s parent or legal guardian must be an active member of SPEC and receive electric service at the primary address of the student and parent/guardian.
Applicants must be high school seniors graduating from a high school or homeschool program located within one of the nine counties served by SPEC. (Aransas, Bee, Goliad, Jim Wells, Live Oak, McMullen, Nueces, Refugio and San Patricio County)
Scholarships will be granted to support attendance at a recognized institution of higher education, which may be either a college/university or a vocational/technical institution.

Stars Scholarship Fund
Award Amount: Varies
Eligibility:
Be a U.S. citizen or a legal permanent resident with a permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.
Be a permanent resident (5 or more consecutive years) of and have a permanent South or West Texas address in one of our 30 counties.
Have earned/completed at least 12 undergraduate credit hours at a U.S. accredited college or university before applying for the scholarship (Dual and Advanced Placement credits accepted.).
Have a minimum college cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale.
Have completed a high school diploma or its equivalent prior to the Fall of the new academic year.

LULAC National Scholarship Fund
Award Amount: $250-$2,000
Eligibility:
Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, legal permanent resident, or be granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
Must have applied to or be enrolled as a full-time student in a college or university, including 2-year colleges, or vocational schools that lead to an associate’s degree. Graduate students must have applied to or be enrolled as a part-time student in a college or university.
A student will not be eligible for a scholarship if he/she is related to a scholarship committee member, the Council President, or an individual contributor to the local funds of the Council
Locations: In 2024-25, sixty-two (64) LULAC Councils participated from the following: Arizona, Arkansas, California, District of Columbia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Wisconsin.

Dennis Henneke Technical/Trade School
