2026 Lectureship
Every spring, JBSP presents a local or national figure to inspire the entire student body in their post-secondary endeavors. At the assembly, the four finalists for the Barnhart Scholars Award are presented prior to the lecture and the winner is announced at the assembly following the lecture.
2024 Lectureship features Florette Elizabeth (Libby) Hitchcock Spires and will be heald in the A.C. Jones Auditorium.

Open to all ACJ seniors. This is a great opportunity for you to start and complete your applications with guidance and support. It’s important to remember that students who submit their admissions applications early in the year significantly improve their chances of being accepted into their first choice major.

Barnhart Mentor Training
We are excited to invite all new and returning Barnhart Mentors to join the JBSP Team for training as we prepare for the 2025-2026 school year. This training will be an invaluable opportunity for you to enhance your skills and get ready to support our students in their journey towards college admission.
All Barnhart Mentors work one-on-one with students, motivating and counseling them while assisting them in overcoming the challenges they may face. A mentors role also includes guidance in completing resumes, registering for college entrance exams, identifying volunteer opportunities, and navigating scholarship and college admission applications.
