2026 Barnhart Scholars Award
Diego Samuel has been selected as the 2026 Barnhart Scholarship recipient, receiving $60,000 to fund college expenses at an accredited four-year college.
The Joe Barnhart Scholars Award is granted to one full-time junior who is ranked in the top 10% of their class at A. C. Jones High School, Beeville, Texas. The award recognizes both scholastic excellence and the student’s potential for contribution to the world in areas of civics, religion, humanities, business, and the arts. The three additional finalists each received the Maggie Price Scholarship award of $20,000 to fund their college expenses.

Diego Samuel
2026 Joe Barnhart Scholars Award, $60,000
Diego, a junior at ACJ and currently ranked #1 in his class, plans to major in Biology at The University of Texas.
Dilynn Danysch
2026 Maggie Price Scholarship, $20,000
Dilynn plans to attend Texas A&M University of Incarnate Word to major in Industrial Engineering.
Ailaniey Garza
2026 Maggie Price Scholarship, $20,000
Ailaniey plans to attend the University of Texas and major in Biology.
Talon Mulvaney
2026 Maggie Price Scholarship, $20,000
Talon plans to to study Civil Engineering at University of Wisconsin-Madison.
